Obedience Training

Modular Classes

Modular classes are designed for today's families. Once registered you schedule the classes you want to attend each week. Behaviors are broken down in different modules (groups) then each 1 hour session focuses on just one module.

Each module is offered at least twice a week. You schedule the behaviors you want to work on and which day. Schedules rotate weekly so each module is offered at different times. You can attend all modules for your level each week or just one.

You purchase the right to train at each Level for 7 weeks for $90. Then you schedule your classes, from 1 - 6 hours a week, whatever you decide. Each 1 hour block is limited to 5 dog/handler teams for all the one on one training needed. Scheduling is easy, either online at your convenience or call/email us to schedule for you.

Multiple levels offered, from beginners to obedience competitors.

Orientation is 1 1/2 hours long without your dog. We run orientations every 2 weeks so you can start when it works for you. Call today to schedule your orientation and take control of your training.

Individual Lessons

Individual Lessons are available both in your home and here at Selten Ruhe Kennels. These are a great way to work on aggression, issues that arise in your home but not out of the dogs territory, or to start a dog that is over sensitive to distractions and other dogs.

Cost is dependent on location of the lessons and the type of work, contact us for more information.

Please contact us at info@seltenruhe.com or 920-210-4243 if you have any questions.

Our indoor training facility

Boot Camp$400 This is a two week course where we put the dog through multiple exercises daily to increase her focus and teach her obedience. At the end of the two weeks your dog will; walk on a loose leash, sit, stay, down and here on command. She will also learn basic manners when meeting a stranger on leash. Your dog must stay with us for this two week course.

We are members in good standing of the USA and APDT. I started training obedience while working at a Miller Animal Clinic in Lansing, MI in 1987. Since then I have trained all breeds in obedience, personal protection, mushing, schutzhund, estate work and scent work. Mitch started in 1999 and has worked primarily with large breeds in obedience, personal protection and schutzhund.

We work with all breeds of dogs and use positive methods of training and tailor our methods to meet the needs of the individual dogs and handlers. Our training emphasizes precise obedience with outstanding focus and attention.
